A deeper dive: the EP vote on the authorisation of the pesticide flumioxaine.

On 10 July, the full European Parliament backed the challenge against the authorisation of flumioxazine.

A deep dive via Vote Watch, gives you a better indication of how political groups voted.

Support for the challenge was for 415, 252, and 20 abstentions. The challenge met the threshold required to pass (354 votes). 

That is 60% for, 37% against, and 3% abstentions.

The winning coalition was made up of GUE, Greens, S&D, Renew, IDG and  NI.

 

26 of the NI group supported the challenge. Most of IDG group (59 v 16) backed the challenge.

The ECR and EPP voted against.

Renew continued their record of internal non-alignment, with 63 voting for and 33 against.
