Voice recognition software has come a long way very fast. It’s going to a lot further very soon.

Seeing your spoken words appear on your computer screen is fun and very useful. It helps produce clear draft notes, memos and articles. It can be used on your iphone to write emails. It frustratingly can not be used on your blackberry.

Microsoft Brings the World Closer Together
But, whilst this is all very useful, microsoft are working on something that will make this all seem very small.

Those clever people in Seattle have come up with software the translates languages for your in real time. It seems I’ll be able to chat to a friend, client or colleague in China and we can both use our own languages – the software will do the translation for us.
